About Manasthala
Manasthala translates to “a place for your mind.” Manasthala is a place for your body to live, but more than that it is somewhere your mind can be free. Free to rest, to focus, maybe to dream. Bring yourself into the present moment and understand what your body and mind need now. Welcome to our tranquil home stay nestled amidst the serene beauty of Mysore in gokulam. We at Manasthala aim to embody the essence of hospitality, offering friendly and clutter-free accommodations. As soon as you step foot on our property, you feel yourself relax and breathe deeper. Ah, I have arrived.
Values & Lifestyle
Mindfulness
More than just a place to lay your head… We believe in the power of mindfulness and offer workshops from breath work to artistic endeavors to strengthen both body and mind.
Community
Community is what gives us inspiration and energy. We encourage guests to join our yogic offerings, share a meal, or have a meaningful conversation on the veranda.
Manasthala is about living mindfully in the present moment
Ajay Kumar Warrier
Ajay Kumar Warrier is on his own personal journey from a bhogi, to a yogi. And he hopes he never fully “arrives” because its so much more fun living the journey every day! Ajay returned to his hometown of Mysore after 45 years working and raising a family in the Middle East. Now, as a grandpa and aspiring yogi, he has a vision blooming at Manasthala Mindful living. Manasthala is a place to live, to eat, to meet. It is not just yoga on the mat, it is the whole spectrum of living a good life. And at Manasthala, the magic often happens in the “meeting.” Here, you might meet a teacher who sparks you in a new direction, an artist who awakens your senses, a musician you can collaborate with, a therapist, a doctor, a friend. Ajay believes we all need something different as we walk our own paths, and that hopefully you can find some of your missing pieces here. Manasthala is not just about the walls of a building, it is a space where we can gather and grow together. After his many years of diverse experience in life, Ajay can say that he has never been a saint, but that he has met life with life. And Manasthala is the space he can offer you now to meet your own life.
